Sylvester Stallone’s Demolition Man (1993)
Demolition Man (1993) is classic action science fiction film starring the great Sylvester Stallone. Directed by Marco Brambilla and based on a script by Daniel Waters, Robert Reneau and Peter M. Lenkov, Demolition Man at the time was just another solid actioner in Stallone’s already loaded ultimate belt. However, on the strength of its sci-fi action, and the superb acting of its cast it has gone on to become an ultimate cult classic.
While Demolition Man went through many different stars and names attached to it over the years (like Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal and Jackie Chan), the project finally settled on Stallone with Wesley Snipes as the excellent bad guy Simon Phoenix (one of our top UAMC villains of all time). As well as Sandra Bullock in one of her first big roles. The film also features Benjamin Bratt, Denis Leary and Rob Schneider for some reason.
