Sylvester Stallone was actually born “Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone” in the infamous Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan borough of New York City, New York, USA. Sylvester Stallone was born on July 6th, 1946, making him 75 years old.
Stallone’s parents were Francesco “Frank” Stallone and Jacqueline “Jackie” Labofish Stallone, the latter of whom was famously known for her work with several women’s wrestling leagues.
After trying unsuccessfully to break into the showbiz and film industry for several years, Stallone was inspired to write the script for Rocky after he watched a Muhammed Ali fight on TV. Rocky would eventually get made with Stallone as the star and his action movie career was launched.
