Steven Seagal
Steven Seagal is an ultimate action movie legend who was part of the golden era of action in the 1980s and 1990s. Born in Michigan, Seagal got his start in martial arts at a young age with aikido. He would later go on to travel the world as an instructor, living and training in Japan before making it to Hollywood to work as a stunt coordinator.
Seagal’s first action movie starring role was in Above the Law (1988) and launched a career where he helmed numerous films and franchises like Hard to Kill, Marked for Death, Out for Justice, Under Siege and On Deadly Ground (which he also produced and directed).
Seagal was one of the few ultimate action movie stars from that golden era who was able to keep up solid production into the 2000s with titles like Exit Wounds, Half Past Dead and many direct-to-video classics like The Foreigner and Black Dawn. He remains a prolific action movie contributor even today!
